Welcome to Year 1 at Lee Brigg Infant and Nursery School.
Miss Tate is our Leopard Class teacher.
Year 1 is a special year for the children as they move from Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. Our aim is to make this a smooth transition as the children are provided with challenges to excite and stimulate.
In Year 1 Mrs Baxby (HLTA) and Mrs Unwin (Learning Support Assistant) support our class. We truly believe in working as a team and have the same high expectations for all children to believe in themselves as confident learners!
During the year exciting learning opportunities are planned into each term to ensure children are keen and excited to learn. Children are encouraged to progress to the very best of their ability and are supported to do so. We aim for confident children who enjoy learning and who leave Year 1 ready to move up to Year 2. We hope you will support your child on their very special journey into a wonderful world of finding out and learning new skills!
