Personal Development is at the heart of Lee Brigg.
At Lee Brigg Infant & Nursery School, every child who walks through our doors should have access not only to the very best academic offer, but also to an exceptional personal development offer that reflects the needs of our children and our community.
Our Personal Development provision is highly personalised and highly inclusive. It is a golden thread that runs through every aspect of school life — interwoven across the curriculum, embedded in daily routines and reflected in the conversations we have with our children. Through carefully planned experiences, meaningful opportunities and our One Life programme, children develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to become well-rounded members of both our local community and the wider world.
Lee Brigg is a place where every child belongs.
Regardless of starting points, backgrounds or barriers, our children are valued, nurtured and championed to succeed. We create a safe, secure and joyful environment where children feel happy, healthy and ready to learn. We know that when children experience a strong sense of belonging, they thrive — socially, emotionally and academically.
We know our children well and are ambitious for each and every one of them. We actively remove barriers, support individual needs and ensure that all pupils — including those who are disadvantaged or have SEND — make strong progress and achieve their potential across the curriculum.
Through our curriculum and One Life programme, children develop our six core values: belonging, being safe, resilience, kindness, respect and being aspirational. We aim for every child to leave Lee Brigg with the confidence, curiosity and independence to make a positive contribution, to value others and themselves, and to be fully prepared for the next stage of their education and for life beyond our school.
