At Lee Brigg Infant and Nursery School, our Early Years provision provides children with the very best start to their education in a nurturing, inspiring and language-rich environment. Our school-based Nursery offers a smooth and familiar transition into Reception, helping children feel safe, confident and ready to thrive as they continue their journey through school.

Recognised as achieving the ‘Strong Standard’ in our March 2026 Ofsted inspection, inspectors praised the “stimulating and purposeful early years environment” and the “warm relationships and high-quality interactions” between staff and children.
Our experienced Early Years team carefully designs learning opportunities which develop confidence, independence, communication and curiosity. Communication and language sit at the heart of everything we do, with a strong focus on vocabulary, speaking, listening and early phonics to build firm foundations for reading and writing success.
Our outdoor provision encourages exploration, creativity and problem-solving, helping children develop confidence and independence through purposeful play and hands-on experiences.

At Lee Brigg we cater to the age ranges of 3 and 4 year olds.
Session Times and Opening Hours
15 hours: 8:30am – 11:30am
30 hours: 8:30am – 2:30pm (which includes lunch – children to bring own packed lunch)
Early Bird Drop Off
Parents can choose to drop their child off 15 minutes earlier at the start of the day and this can be purchased for £2 per day.
Additional Paid Hours Available
If a parent would like their child to finish at 3:30pm, with the rest of the PM Nursery, an additional 1 hour at the end of a full day can be purchased for £6.60.
